New to Clipstream™ Live
in version 2.5 is the ability to archive. Make a change in the
Server Settings and the application will save the file in Clipstream™
Audio format in whatever time intervals you require.
Start Clipstream™ Live Find the Clipstream™ Live
application icon and launch it.
Click on the Help menu
Once Clipstream™ Live is running, choose
Server Settings from the Settings
menu.
This will bring up the Server Settings window:
Choose an Interval Click in the Interval
field and enter a number to represent an interval that you
want Clipstream™ Live to record to disk for you. You
can also choose from a preselected interval by clicking on
the drop down icon. Choosing an interval means that you can
save long videos and not fill up your hard drive.
Check "Save to File"
This will make the three fields underneath it editable.
Browse to save the archive files Now choose
a location to which your archive video files will be saved.
Note: The folder you specify must be located
under the "www" folder in the same folder where
you installed the Clipstream™ Live application (default:
c:program_files/Clipstream/Clipstream™ Live/)
Click Browse and then open up the Program_Files
folder until you have opened up the Clipstream™ Live
installed folder.
You can create a new folder as long as it is underneath the
"www" folder. Type a name for it such as "archive"
and then press OK.
Press OK again to close the
Server Settings window.
A dialog will open telling you to restart your stream.
Exit Clipstream™ Live and Restart
Go to the File menu and choose Exit.
Then launch Clipstream™ Live again.
Test the Live archiving Start broadcasting
by clicking the Start / Stop button.
Allow the stream to continue for however long you want for
your test.
Note: You must allow enough time according
to the interval you selected in the Server Settings.
Test the Live archiving To test the archiving,
first Stop/Start the webcast. Then go to the File
menu and select View Archive List.
This will bring up a browser window that has a list of any archives
you have saved.

Video page that has the saved video.
